It’s funny.. growing up I hated my middle name (Frances). Now I’m using the shortened version of it for my business name! My REAL name is Emma Pasteris Pelicaric, but a lot of you know me as Emma Fran or Emma Fran Events!

November 2nd, 2024 I got married to the love of my life - Matte Pelicaric! We got married on my family farm where I grew up!

Growing up, I grew up on my family’s horse farm - Yes! I rode horses growing up! (I always get asked this! lol)

My family still raises horses on our farm, but they are no longer riding horses. They are thoroughbred brood mares!

Now our family hosts weddings and other events on our property! I honestly never thought I would end up in the wedding business in my wildest dreams!

I’ve always been a ~ girlie ~ tomboy. I played volleyball growing up, I always would ride our ATVs around our farm, but I have ALWAYS been into fashion!

I truly believe in using fashion, hair, and makeup - overall style - as a form of self expression.

Growing up, kids (mostly boys) would make fun of me. They would typically pick on me for my naturally curly hair and my eccentric style - so I started toning down my style and flat ironing my hair when I was in Junior High.

By the time I was in high school I got really into floral design and ended up going to Illinois State University knowing I was interested in Agriculture. I ended up graduating with a degree in Agriculture Communication in December 2019, right when Covid graced us with her beauty.

Since Covid was so kind and shut the world down, it was really hard for me to find a job in communication. During this time, I started re-embracing my curly hair and personal style. I kept getting a lot questions on what products I was using, how I started, or where I would get my clothes from..

So it hit me - “EMMA FRAN EVENTS” the blog.

At that same time, my parents asked me to join their business full time as a wedding planner.

I had already been working for them part time since they started the business in 2015. I had been running the business’s social media accounts, creating the venue’s website and keeping it up to date, scheduling employees and venue tours, and marketing for the business. Now they wanted me to become a wedding planner and eventually a business partner.

I knew I loved floral design and I wanted to potentially be an entrepreneur.. This could potentially be a great way to learn and see if this was the path I truly wanted to take..

Fast forward 7 years later, I am a full time wedding planner, business partner, and lifestyle content creator!
